Duncan takes Veteran Bronze at World Championships!

Last week saw 4 of our region's fencers going to the Veteran World Championships in Maribor in Slovenia. Carole Seheult, Andy Bex, Anton Pollard and Duncan Rowlands were selected to be part of Team GB for the event!
Duncan was a member of the men's sabre team that had a 11 countries entered. GB had a bye in the L16 going strait to the L8 to meet France who provided a close match but came out top 30-24 to meet the USA. This semi-final was not so victorious with a loss of 30-20. In the 3rd place play-off they met Germany to which they maintained their winning form and took the bronze medal 30-24!
The next best Regional result was Anton Pollard who achieved a L8 in the Mens Epee cat 2
