15 year old fencer from East Boldon, Matt Dickinson went on to beat all infront of him at this weekend's British Youth Championships in Sheffield boys epee event!  50 fencers were in the U16 catagory, representing all regions in the UK.   Matt won all of his initial pool fights to give him a seeding of no 3.  His journey to the final was challenging but not too close. The final against James Russell was relativly relaxed with a finishing score of 15-11.

Another medalist was Victoria Hide from Team Newcastle who acheived a silver medal in the U18 girls epee event!
