Beth captains England team to 4 Nations victory in Cardiff!
This weekend saw North East fencers competing in the senior National Championships in Sheffield and Veteran 4 Nations in Cardiff.
Beth Davidson was the only representative from the NE selected for the veteran Home Nations competition in Cardiff. The pathway to gold was wins against Wales, Scotland then Ireland. Beth who represents England is no novice when it comes to these events, competing or managing England since 2002 with 7 gold, 5 silver, three team Commonwealth titles and eight 5 Nation titles!
In the senior National Championships, Matt Henderson from Newcastle, fencing for the Leon Paul Centre achieved a silver in the men’s epee team event losing out to Brixton Fencing Club.
The North East will be hosting the Veteran 4 Nations in 2016, so watch this space!
