NE referees selected for Paralympics in Rio
The Paralympic Association this week announced their selections of referees for the Paralympics in Rio next year and two familiar faces from the North East were part of that elite list! Chris Farren and Duncan Rowlands who fence at Laszlo’s Fencing in Durham, were rewarded for their hard work over this season to be part of the Paralymic arbitrage in Brazil!
Selection is based on good refereeing performances at international wheelchair fencing events in the year prior to the Paralympics and only a handfull of referees can be there!
If you are interested in being a referee at any level, contact Beth Davidson Fencing Development Officer, firstname.lastname@example.org 07834884194
