Beth Davidson awarded FIE coach diploma

North East Regional Development Officer, Beth Davidson was successful as was only one of two people selected from the UK to achieve the FIE coaching diploma course at the Budapest Fencing Academy. This three month course was attended by coaches from all over the world nominated by their Governing Body, working with fencing’s international federation (Federation Internationale d’Escrime) coach developer team, Ioni Pop (sabre) Bela Kopetka (epee) and Zsoltan Bernat (foil)

This course combined Coach theory provided by the University of Physical Education of Budapest, in subjects physiology, psychology, training theory, management and pedagogy.
